Moonroof Switch Light.

i just noticed that my moonroof switch is no longer illuminated when i turn on the headlights.

i discovered this when i was attempting to open my moonroof last night and i couldn't find the damn switch. wtf? piece of $hit. i'm tired of having backlights go it. now i'm just downright pissed. i never ever really use the damn moonroof and the one time i do the stupid light is out.

so how many times have i taken my stupid acura to the stupid imcompetent dealer?

1. trunk not aligned
2. radio backlight went out, stupid dealer ordered the wrong radio
3. again for the radio, total time to fix radio spans over a month
4. driver seat clicks under moderate turning and braking

now i have to go for a damn stupid light for the switch?

that's absolutely ridiculous.

and i wont even begin to mention that sometimes my speakers ratlle at moderate volumes with certain song, the acura dealer told me that is normal, i felt like smacking him and telling him that it isn't. moron.

what wrong w/ the trunk alignment?

and the switch shouldn't take long at all to fix, 5min. max to pop out the switch and insert a new bulb. that's a reasonable thing to go out, its like a bulb burning out in your house, it happens.

someone even called me a week later asking if everything went smooth because i might get a survey in the mail from acura

Have number 4 and the rear stock speakers also rattle sometimes.

in regards to the trunk alignment, i'm referring to the gap of the trunk is uneven on both sides. in fact, the right side of my trunk was higher than the left side of the trunk when comparing the heights to the body of the car.

now, after fountain "fixed" my trunk, if you look directly at the rear of the trunk, the gap between the trunk and the body where the tailights are, the gap is closer together on the right hand side as opposed to the gap on the left hand side.

I wish you could just return a car like you could anything at Wal-Mart. An in store cedit would be just as good in this case.

even better than walmart, you can return anything to home depot and get a full refund!!

i once bought a set of square mirrors for a car show, opened it, cracked one, put it back in the box when i was done - and got my money back hehe

ah, the old younger days

In some states you can return cars. But only during the first 72 hours.

It seems odd to me that so many folks have had so many little (and not so little) problems with the TSX. Mine's been great so far (13k miles) with nary a rattle worthy of mentioning, and I am known to be a picky SOB. Either some of us are way too critical, or Honda is seriously slipping. If it's the latter it's troubling.

wow, that sounds familur, note why I now have Pioneer speakers all around lol, they looked at me because im a kid and were like "oh so they rattle when you have it all the way up" trying to blame me for blowing a speaker or something, im like "no they rattle when I listen to music"...

loved the look on there faces though when i went in for them to turn off the idiot light, there like were gonna change ur oil, rotate the tires, change the wiper blades, and check up on some things, Tires- Toyo Proxies, Oil changed myself to Synthetic and if u really want u can give me new wiper blades, but just turn off the damn light.

Think we both need to find new dealers man, not return the car

Is the moonroof switch even supposed to light up?? Sorry but I've never seen it lit. My car is 2 weeks old. Wondering if this is something I should contact my dealer about.

no i mean the one cicled in yellow. that side of the trunk was higher than the left side of the trunk.
after i took it to the dealer, the trunk now sites more level, but the gap in yellow is closer together than the gap on the left.

The trunk lid can be adjusted by the hinge mounting points, the bumpers, and the trunk latch. If you look under the trunk lid, you should see two bumpers (one on each side). Try turning the bumpings in or out and see if that corrects the gap. Btw, the moonroof light should come on when the parking/headlights are on.
