MAINT REQ'D will not go away
ok so my mait req'd light popped up at about 135,xxx miles it would blink a couple times and then go away when i first started my car. it was time for me to change my oil anyway so i changed the oil and the filter with mobil 1 oil and mobil 1 filter, which i always use, so i started my car and the mait req'd still popped up so i restarted it and it went away when i started my car, but then i drove a little bit turned the car off and then turned it back on and it popped up again and this time it doesnt blink it just stays up the whole time im driving.
so then i thought it might be my transmission oil so im doing the drain 3 qts drive a little bit then add 3 qts method, i just did it for the 2nd time yesterday, but then it still doesnt go away, i tried resetting it and also taking the battery cable off and putting it back on and it still is up!!
im getting so frustrated with this, does anyone know what could be the cause of this?? thanks so much for the help!!

There's instructions floating around here somewhere on how to reset the light. It should also be in your manual. Maybe you just didn't do it quite right? Double check the instructions and try again.

here you go, google is your friend
1) Turn they key to the II position
2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button
3) Turn the key back to the II position, while still holding the button.
4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.

took me awhile too, even following the instructions to a T. took me about 10 tries to get it to work. frustrating....for some reason it kept adjusting the temperature, rather than resetting the light.
