My car has approx 12,100 mi. tonite when i started it the maint req light was flashing for a minute or so. when i got home i shut it off, waited a minute and fired it again, same story, flashing light. I already need to go to the dealer cuz my power mirrors are broken, i'll get the sunroof rattle fixed then too. whats the deal with the light?

 

MATTG- Don't worry- that is just a reminder that you are coming due for a service. It is programmed to start coming on around 6k miles or so and will stay on longer as you get closer to 7500 miles. It needs to be reset by pressing and holding the reset and select buttons on the dash till the light flashes- then release the buttons. The reason it is coming on now is because it was probably reset around 6500 miles last time is is counting down again.
