Keyless remote model #?

What's the model number of your TSX key fob remotes?

The two I have appear to be different models. One works correctly, the other does not. The one that doesn't work right won't roll the windows down on the second unlock click-and-hold. The car was in for service this week and the dealer said they reprogrammed it, but it still doesn't work (I can't believe they didn't check it after "fixing" it. Argh.). Worse, the other remote wasn't working afterwards. So I reprogrammed them both myself and I'm back to where I started. Both lock/unlock OK, but only one rolls down the windows.

The model numbers on the back are:

1) G8D-387H-A (working)
2) G8D-355H-A (not working)

The second one has a Canada ID in addition to the FCC ID number. Looks like one is a US model remote and one is a Canadian model? Which is even more weird, because if there's a difference between them, I'd expect that the CA-spec remote would work with a CA-spec TSX.

I'm sure the dealer will sort it all out eventually but I'm curious about the model number issue.

I drive a Canadian TSX, and both of my remote model numbers are G8D-387H-A.
They both work fine.

Hmmmm...I'm in the US, and mine is G8D-387H-A too. Since US and CA numbers seem to match, maybe they gave you one from a different car?

Actually, I did check it right away, but it was late and I was in a hurry to get home so I just left it. I have to go back soon anyway (parts on order for the sliding seat problem), so I figured it could wait. Not like I really need the windows-down feature this time of year...

That's what I'm thinking and why I'm wondering if any other TSX owners have a working model# 355H-A unit. Since the proposed "fix" of reprogramming the remote didn't work, I'm going to point out the model number discrepancy and insist on a replacement unit. Thanks for the help.

Just a quick followup here. I just got a call from the dealer. They had in fact noticed that reprogramming didn't fix the problem and ordered me a new remote. They called to tell me it is in now. When I picked up the car I was in a hurry and didn't talk to the service advisor. I just paid the cashier and boogied on out.

I just picked up my 2004 Pearl White TSX two weeks ago (after an 8 week wait) and I'm trying to mute the horn when I engage the alarm system (the second press of the key fob). I was able to do that on my 98 CL, but couldn't find a think in the owner's manual. I called the Sales Rep but he has yet to find out the answer.

Anyone know if this can be done? I still want to engage the alarm system, but don't want the horn to honk when I do it.

Just press the fob once ... the lights flash and the alarm system is engaged. The horn is for those that do not see the lights flash or just want to anoy others.

Got my new remote today, model G8D-387H-A. Works fine.

Got the new parts installed for the power seat too. Unfortunately, they wired it back up backwards (move controller up - seat moves down - also reversed front to back) so it has to go back in again. <sigh>
