I cant find any links for the removal of the factory amplifier. Does anyone have a link or some clues on how to remove the 2005 tsx factory amp? My friend has a amp that is popping and cracking. I had same problem with my 2005 TL. Appreciate any help. Thanks

 

I beleive you remove the storage bin under the Radio/HVAC controls and it should be under there. That where I saw mine when I installed my Yatour music changer last night however mine was not bolted to anything.

 

Thanks. We will look at that. I will see if we can figure out how the amplifier is mounted if we can pull that storage bin out without breaking any clips etc.

 

The storage bin can be removed by pulling firmly straight out. It is designed to be removable without breaking any clips or retainers. There is a small cable connected to an illumination lamp but that can be easily removed from the bin by rotating the lamp.

 

Thanks. Not breaking things to get to the amplifier is a high priority. Any clues on how the amp is mounted? Will take look after we pull the storage bin.
