Hi guys,

I took my car out earlier tonight and I had played around with the Manuel mode of my car's tranny. I was traveling in a low speed limit zone so I was engaging my car back and forth with the 1st and 2nd gears only. While on first gear, when the engine speed racks up to approximately 6,000 rpm, I start hearing some buzzing noise from the tranny, where underneath the shifter. I was thinking about it must be noises from some coins that sits in the cup holder. I cleaned up all the stuffs that may cause rattling noise, and try a couple more time, but getting the same noise. I kindda of having a feeling that it is the tranny's problem.

Mine 05 TSX has approximately 114,000 km on it, and I had the A/T fluid replaced every 48,000 km and the fluid in the tranny is fairly new. The only one thing that I could think of is problem inside the tranny. Does any one of you experience the same problem? If so, what is the cost to address the problem? Unfortunately, my car has already lost its warranty...... Any advice will be really appreciated.

Prolly the shifter solenoid nothing to worry about.

 

I just noticed the same thing tonight when driving around after I changed my oil... I couldn't tell where the rattle / buzz was coming from... Any updates?

 

How offten should the transmission solenoid and the speed sensor be changed on a tsx 2005 .car shift hard on take off
