Honda/Acura does it again
Have been a long time Acura/Honda owner, since I bought my first Accord in 1978. Have always received good service and this was the case again this month.
Drove in to my local dealership (no appointment, happened to have the day off) and showed them 3 problems on my 05 6MT/Navi: 1) Clunking noise from the front left suspension area 2) Chipped chrome on the grill (small 1/16 X 1/16) 3) cracked R/H corner tail light (not impact related). Go to see the service adviser and he sends over a tech, real bright and polite. We go for a road test and literally two minutes later he pulls my car in their shop, puts it on the lift and starts looking at the obvious suspension stuff (which I had done before). A few minutes later the problem is found: the outboard brake pad was loose in the calliper and was clunking when I would hit small bumps in the road.
As for the grill, the service manager comes out and I tell him I have read about many cases of chrome flaking off on this site and I’m concerned it will keep peeling. So he says they will change it. As for the corner tail light, no issues there, will be replaced.
Great cars, great service, what more can you ask for?
