Grinding noise when accelerating slowly from stop

Hi all,

I got my new Acura TSX 06, non navi two weeks back. So far its doing great plus accumlating flattery comments , however couple of niggles here and there. Yesterday i noticed a grinding/croaking noise when accelerating slowly on a signal stop. If accelerate fast noise dissappears but if accelerate slowly i hear it.
Any clue what might be the reason?

Thanks

Manual or automatic transmission?

You should swing by the dealership and have a tech ride with you in the parking lot if it's doing it regularly.

Transmission is automatic.
Today, I had my friend listen to it and he says that its due to hydraulic brake release and nothing to worry about.
Thanks for your comment

When you get that grinding sound, is your foot off the brakes? If you are not touching the brakes at all, then it is time to bring your car to the dealer to check.

I still have brakes pressed though not that hard to completely stop the car.
When I am just releasing my foot off the brake and when the car is about to move then that noise comes.

Okay, then your friend is right. Don't worry and enjoy your TSX. I'm still enjoying mine even after 2 years.

I don't remember what it was, but I think it was some sort of (abs?) self-test. It should only happen once.

If it's always happening, maybe it's a wheel bearing or something?
