Factory door rattle fix??

From another TSX forum:

"Many thanks forour friend from Japan ,Coup-Camper,

The parts numbers of the improved rubber seals that will fix your front door rattle on the TSX are as the following:

The sub seal for the right front door: 72325-SEA-003
The sub seal for the left front door: 72365-SEA-003

Now we just need to get someone order us these parts from Japan and get the dealer to install them...

It shouldn't be that hard anyways, they are just rubber seals after all!"

Not sure about the validity of this, but nevertheless....

I just recently started getting the driver's side window rattle.

I've had another rattle / creaking noise ever since I got my car (for the last 6 months), in the center dashboard / steering wheel area which occurs.

I took my car in to Mike Harvey Acura last Thursday and they've been working on it since (it's still there right now). I had a technician drive as I pointed out the noises and how to recreate them. Yesterday, they called and said that they have solved the window rattle issue, and are currently looking into the dashboard rattle. They're disassembling that area of the car to figure out what's wrong.

So far, I am pleased with what they're doing - although it is taking longer than I expected. If anybody's interested, I'll let you guys know what happens with the dashboard rattle when I get my car back (hopefully in a few days).

ive taken my tsx 3 times for various fixes and each time i complain and the rattle and describe where and how it is. i also provide a cd with the proper volume levels to point out the rattle specifically and every time i get ti back, the sheet on fixes states that no problems were found. the last time i took it in i said to not give me that sheet and actually look at it. i got new sheet that said there were no problems and that i shouldnt have my bass turned up so high... oh the frustration, i had it up a couple notchs to help pinpoint it.

Sorry to be lame with a "me too" post, but me too. Sussman Acura of Maple Shade NJ does the same crap to me. Three visits, three "could not replicate" service sheets. The next time I take my car in I will insist that they hold it overnight and then drive it in the morning. I think that will better replicate my experience. The rattles are the worst in the morning after the car has been sitting.

Good luck.

Joe Kotran

P.S. More and more I wish I bought a G35.

I'd say make sure a technician sits in the car with you and hears the noise. Otherwise, you're almost guaranteed that they won't find anything.

Has anybody had any luck with the parts listed above? After 3+ trips to the dealer, I still have the driver's side window rattle.

Have you tried using silicone spray on the rubber seals?

I used 303 Protectant on the seals (somebody suggested that a while back) without any luck. I will try the silicone spray. What's the name of the actual product that has worked?

Jig-A-Loo is a really versatile and good silicone spray. It can be found at Home Depot (in Canada, anyhow)... orange cap, black + silver can.

Anyone happen to have the part number for the front door inner weather strip for the 2006? I wonder if they're different than the 04/05's

The ones used on the 04/05 are:
72335-SEA-003 - R
72375-SEA-003 - L
