DC Sports header seperated

As you know IMod, Dani and myself have had our header section seperate. Looks to me as if there is a very weak weld and that the piece needs to be at least a 1/2" longer. I called DC Sports today, left messages and recieved no response. I am going to have the pieces welded back together at work tomorrow. I will post pics of the fix.

Hmm...seems like they need to go back and reengineer the piece to overcome this little problem. You would think they had quality tested the piece before selling it.

That almost looks like a crimp on. I'm crossing my fingers and hope it doesn't happen to mine...

Why use tape when you can just press them together real hard? Tape drives up costs and lowers shareholder value.

It make me want to take the pipe off and weld it before it breaks.

JTso, I think you are right. I didn't see any weld spots at all on the pieces. If it is put together that way then eventually the pieces will seperate. The flex is just not long enough.

DC Sports Header re-welded

I had the flex piece welded together. He did 3 plug welds and welded the inside all the way around.
