Dash coin box for TSX?

Does anyone know where I might be able to find the "dash coin box" for the TSX.. My integra GSR had one, and The TSX has the location for it (just under VSA swith)..
I know that the Accord Euro R has the coin box... Why didn't we get them???

The only one I am aware of is the coin holder in the center console. Or you could use the "not an ashtray"

If you wanted it, for $10 I would take the chance.

That seller has them up on a regular basis. I might have to pick one up and just try it. I could use more storage space.

Thanks for the info!!!!!!!!!!!! Now if I can just find out the honda part number, I can have my friendly (hardly!) local Honda dealer order me one. They can be such jerks, just because I bought an Acura and not the Accord

Well, your local Honda dealer wont have it unless you actually live in Massachusetts Japan

The JDM means you will only find one in the far east or Ebay.

The problem with the coin tray is that whenever you have the volume up or your on a bumpy road the change rattles around. waste of time

Or worse it pops open to spill the contents all over the place. I had that happen a couple times in my Integra. What a pain in the !!

I've heard there is a metal plate in the USDM version in that area. Never have looked for myself, but check it.

I've checked, there is a metal substructure in the way. Someone could always cut it, but I don't know how important that piece is.

I suggest someone else to try it and let us all know

Bump I know that from the beginning of the TSX shipments people have been asking about this and I thought someone might know >6 months later. I don't really want the tray for coins, but it's handy for other items (mailbox key for one might be good - our neighborhood has a single set of boxes).

thread revival, gotta love them

My TSX has a 3-sized coin holder in the centre console. It's the first-level/shallow compartment under the arm rest. Don't you guys have that?

I know i use the coin stack holder in the armrest. Just how much change are you planning to keep in your car and is exact change making at a drive through window that important to you?

I just use it to keep some quarters for feeding parking meters, even that I don't keep it stocked up anyway... a "complaint" I have is that that stupid thing doesn't take our almighty Canadian Loonie ($1 coin)!!!

You'll notice in my post I ask for it not for coins, but for other items. That said, it just seems like having one more storage option would be nice, if it's just wasted space....why would Acura want to put anything loonie in the car

Yeah I read your post asking about storage for other items, I was just too excited to see a revived thread that I thought I'd write something closer to the original subject first For other items, the pretty big compartment under the arm rest seems pretty good. I put a squre-shaped box of tissues in there plus a CD-holder. About cabin storage space in general, I do find there's plenty of that in the TSX. I am able to store way more CDs (in CD albums and individual case/pocket) in it than any other car I've had

I agree that there's a lot of good space in the TSX. I actually use the "Not an Ashtray" for pennies, as these nearly worthless coins eventually equal some level of worth by allowing me to keep more bills. If you have a lot of CDs that you like to store, you might try Case Logic's Profile sleeves, while I use an iPod frequently, when I do tote CDs, thesee allow me to get at least 30 (I'd guess) in the pocket under the CD player. It does seem that if we have available space, it would be worth using.

Wow... that's a lot of CDs in that pocket! I have some CDs in double-sided sleeves (no name stuff) and some in their original case. Plus the two CDs carrying albums I mentioned, I have more CDs stored in the car than I can manage to find time ejecting/loading (I like doing that while I am NOT actually driving, i.e. like to do that before/after a trip).

Sounds like you need an iPod! See my FAQ: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3148

Thanks for your advise, though I already have other goodies lined up on my wishlist iPod or any other portable music devices are way low on my list, regular CDs and re-writible CDs are serving me well so far

LOL revival #2.

I guess no one tried this mod yet? I was thinking about it and from searching didnt realize they had a HDM part of it.

It makes it eaiser if u have an extra compartment as the NOT AN ASHTray is deep and small and hard to get your hands in there to get smaller items. I find the center console a pain to get items esp the coin holder.
