Creased Leather - On my couch!!!

No, I haven't made the leap to the TSX yet - I am also looking at the TL but am hedging due to the dreaded "Butt Prints" - and now the TSX is having the "leather creasing" issue. I fear that what happened to my $2k leather sectional will happen to my (future) Acura. I always accepted the creasing in anything leather I purchased whether it be a jacket or a couch - but I do see the difference in the seats of different manufacturers.

Mercedes and Recaro seem to have the "crease/print" issue "sewn up" and I would fully be pissed if I had a nice set of Recaros such as the ones seen in the Japanese TSX (Mugen??) and they started to crease, or more upsetting to me would be that darn "Butt Print!!"

Anyway, I accept the leather problems knowing that is is part of the Acura ownership experience. A fine leather seat shaped to ones derriere' is a mark more often reserved to Bentley owners and one should be proud!

Now I'm just weighing the lack of low end torque that the TSX has as opposed to it's great value and reported build quality when compared to the TL. I also like the exterior of the TSX better than the TSX but I like the TL's interior better, and of course the greater torque.

I think everyone should chill a little on the build issues and appreciate that there will be certain items that aren't perfect - like brake fade may develop after 100 panic stops - and so on.

BTW awesome forum and really nice pics of all the Acuras out there - stay safe and Butt Print free.

I'm not sure what "crease" issue you are talking about. I have 20,000 miles on my TSX and the seats look like they are brand new.

My intention was humor, and yes I am confilcted on which Acura to buy. There aren't many cars in my price range that appeal to me overall so I will have to make a compromise at some point.

The Infiniti M45 has been the one car lately that really appealed to me - esp with the heavy discounts!

Once I go on a test drive of the TSX I will make my final decision.
TL or TSX. Its def going to be a Nav car!

Make sure to ask for a bag of cheetos when you pick up your car. Here, at Acura-tsx.com, we really like our cheetos.
