Help! Engine sounds rougher than normal

Hi,

I just noticed that my engine sounds rougher than normal when I leave the gear in Park. or neutral. I compared the noise with my 98 accord v6 and 03 Accord LX and it is definitely loud. While driving, when gas applied, I can hear a high pitch noise. I know the second issue has been posted before but there were no solution posted. My question is, does anybody has experience this similar issue before? Is there any solution or did your dealer do anything to fix the issue? I am planning to bring them to the dealer on Wednesday but I don't want to be fooled by them. ANy feedback is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

By "Rough", do you mean you hear unneccesary noises? Or is the sound of the engine just louder?

Could be your AC fan that's giving out the noise and vibrations?

THe engine sound louder than normal, unusual noise coming from underneath the engine. And I turned A/C, etc off. Just the car running. And for the next 48 hrs, I will be drive the car for at least 200 miles. I'm a bit concern I might kill the engine. Thank you for the feedback and helps.

Check the oil level?
Did you buy your last tank of gasoline from your regular station? (dirty injectors)
When did you first notice the rough idle? Did something happen to the car when driving?
When was the last time you had service, what was done?

Well, if you're talking about the little fast paced clicking noise when you lift the hood, it's perfectly normal. My TSX makes that noise, so did one of the TSX loaner, and my friend's MSM TSX as well.

A valve adjustment will correct this. I need to get it myself, as there has to be at least half of the valves clicking.

Iamhomin - The fast clicking noise is not my main concern as my friends hondas makes similar noise. THe "rough" noise comes from some where from the bottom between the engine and the transmission. Perhaps sounding like an old and dried timing belt?
Viking - I changed my oil every 5000 miles. In fact its almost due for another one. Always fill the car V-power since day one. Nothing happened while driving the car. I noticed the rough idle about 2 weeks ago. And its getting louder by the day. And what's really annoying is that stupid high pitch noise is also getting louder when I step on the gas...... I hope the dealer finds something.

Sauseman - I will take your advice and ask them for a valve adjustment to get rid of that klicking noise.

I JUST WANT MY BABY BACK TO NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, thank you for your assistance. Doesn't mean to complain

Once again thank you for your responses.

Update!!!

Went to dealer and they said the noise is normal. Butsomehow I'm not convinced with what they say. I however made my service advisor leave a note on my file that I complained about it. For future reference.
And they stated I don't need a valve adjustment on my car to get rid of those clicking noise too....... *sigh*

I wish I could compare these noises to other TSXs........
Can anybody help me?

Thank you for your feedback folks.
