Hi,

Recently i noticed that at low speed (0 - 25km/hr) especially climbing conjested slopes, the car tends to experience sudden jerking effect from its auto gear transmission as it switches within the lower gears ( like 1 to 2 or from 2 back to 1). At higher speed, this is very smooth. My is a Auto with tiptronics on it. Any one understands why is this so?

By the way, how to use the tiptronics ?

hmm, well, this is in the wrong forum...butttt....

how bad is the jerking? whenever the car shifts gears, its never goin to be perfectly smooth. if the jerking is excessive, you can take it to the dealer.

acura AT trannys have left much to be desired. just ask any TL or CL owner.

anyway, every AT TSX has tiptronic. and if i were you, i would avoid downshifts from 2 to 1. it causes big time strain on your tranny.

 

That would occur in a regular stick too... u just waited way to long to shift, and the cars revs are all over the place (thanks to the limiter) and because of how touch first is, the car bounces like crazy

 

hmm i've been experience that problem lately.... comon honda, build a better AT! only wish i got the MT

Biker, who think Acurazine would be a good spot for people to swap AT to MT and vice versa. Seems to be plenty of takers in both directions.

 

i love my at when i am sitting in traffic on my way to school, but man i wist it was MT for those days i really want to have some fun...oh well can't have the best of both world.... or can i? hmm if only honda had some form of SMG for the TSX...
