Crankshaft position sensor location ?
Crankshaft position sensor location ?
Hi guys, I have a 06 Tsx, around 180,000 miles. I bought it back in January of 2020, and it’s been my daily drive to work since. I live here in Florida, and one day on my way to work it flooded pretty bad, I was able to get through most of it and my car didn’t stall out. I made it work and when it came time to leave work I got in my car and cranked her up, about 2 minutes later before putting it into drive or anything, the car just shut off like it ran out of fuel, (I never let it go below half), I tried starting the car again and it would crank, and run for a second or two. I end up getting a TPMS, VSA and Check emotion system light every time it fails to start. My coworker plugged up his scanner and told me I had a bad crank sensor. I let it dry out for a couple days and manage to drive it back home, it hasn’t rained so much to flood but I still continue to have the same issue a week and a half later. I was able to drive the car and once I turned it off it was giving me a hard time starting, now it’s not starting at all. I bought my own scanner to see what the issue could be but I’m getting no link. Just wondering if anyone out here has had any issues similar to mine or where I could find the crankshaft position sensor.
If your car model only has one CRK sensor, it looks like #3 on the Acura vendor link below is what you are looking for:
https://www.acuraoemparts.com/v-2006...ne--chain-case
If you take that part# over to a Honda vendor you will save about $4.60.

Thanks ! I actually might be dealing with another issue at hand, I think it might be my ECU power relay. Car was cranking but not starting today, went to my fusebox and pulled out the ecu fuse and put it back in and it cranked like normal oddly, I don’t know what to make of the issue right now.
