APP Sensor issue

so yesterday I drive home from hockey and park the car in the garage and its all good. I wake up in the morning to turn on the car and I noticed CEL, flashing "D", VSA, and that triangle with the "!" light are all on! i reversed out of my garage and it shuttered a bit... i put it into drive and it revs but i don't gain any speed. i quickly park it back in garage to search acurazine...

so apparently its the APP sensor... i phoned acura and they told me that the tsx and tl have the same sensor so i phoned a few auto wreckers and found one for a tsx. i bring it home to install and i plug in the sensor and attach the drive by wire and start the car up.. still having the same issue.. I disconnect the battery for 30 minutes then attach it and still no help.

what do you guys suggest i do? buy an oem one from acura for 170 dollars? or do i have a bigger issue here?

i do my 1x3 tranny fluid change every spring and i have done my 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches a year and a half ago.

i have noticed in the last couple months that i did have sluggish acceleration.

thanks in advance acurazine!

This would not lead me to think the APP sensor. "Most" APP sensor complaints I have read about are about jumpy acceleration. Engine revving but car not going makes me want to point to transmission...especially when you said it shuttered a bit. Of course all of my statement may be invalid considering you had lots of lights on and I have no idea what type of "limp" home mode the autos may have.

im hoping it to be just the sensor because i really dont want to spend a few thousand dollars for a tranmission.

everyone that posts about the app sensor they are having the same warning lights as me so i hope im having the app sensor issue also.

just seems weird how a auto wreckers one did not fix the issue. maybe it was a coinsidence how the used one was broken also?

I have a 100% working APP sensor you can have if you cover shipping cost. I can stick it in a flat-rate. Let me know.

i phoned acura and their head tech said it may be a low battery, so im going to bring home a charger and charge it for a bit and see...

also they said maybe a mice went in the engine bay and chewed some wires. i did not see any traces of mice droppings though. i guess a mice could have climbed into my car in the garage because it was a cold night and my car was warm from driving.
