I recently just went through the hassle of replacing the AC compressor on my 06 TSX. It all went smooth until the next day when I took it to the shop to get the system recharged. After a about an hour I receive a call from the shop, the mechanic working on my vehicle claimed the vacuum pulled just fine, and he loaded the correct amount of refrigerant in the system without a problem.

This is where things went wrong, he said the compressor clutch engaged and ran for about 30 seconds until it shut off. Mind you this is a brand new compressor.......

The condenser fuse had blown, so he attempted to replace the fuse and see what would happen, same issue. Fuse blew again. So we unplugged the compressor, and turned on the AC. As soon as we plugged in the compressor, fuse blew again.

He claims that the brand new compressor is the issue, and Im having a hard time believing that just yet. I have a feeling its some sort of electrical/grounding issue that I might be able to solve.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is my new compressor faulty? What can I do to know its not the compressor?
