Check Engine Light ON!

A week ago I cleaned the filter in the intake; however, in the process I overtorqued one of the screws and broke one of the corners where the screw goes into. I had no choice but to screw in just 3 screws instead of the normal 4 until my replacement part arrives (ordered online). After a week the check engine light appeared, might this have anything to do with possibly air leaking through the one corner that is not screwed in? What do you think?

Air leaking through the broken corner will not trigger the CEL. It's probably something simple like a loose gas cap. When in doubt, bring it to the dealer. If there's Auto Zone parts store in your area, you can borrow their scan tool to read the CEL code.

with JTso. Most auto parts stores will have a code reader you can use for free. Check with your local places first. Pull the code and learn what it means to properly diagnose your problem.
