Battery light temporarily came on (random?)

Anyone ever have their battery / charging indicator light come on in the gauge cluster, while driving, but then have it turn off mere seconds later?

I was driving around today (and I swear this has happened before I just never caught what light flashed on), and I glanced down as something caught my eye -- the battery/charging light flicked on/off within probably 0.75 of a second.

Should I be concerned? I have a new battery in my 2004 (113,000km) so I doubt it's that. Maybe a slightly loose connection on the battery or something?

Get your alternator checked ASAP, especially if you have any warranty left.

I don't.

Will get it checked if I notice the light again anytime soon.

Not sure, JTso. Once I'm done moving in a few weeks I'll check it. I have absolutely no time to do that or anything, really, at the moment.

I do. very typical for the sucking Panasonic battery from Honda! You should change it. The battery is about to die... maybe another 10k miles.

My battery was changed out this past spring, not even 15,000km ago.

If the engine is running, the battery is there just to be charged. The alternator is the one that supplies all the juice when the car is running.
