Battery dead (I suspect), hood latch will not open
I have an 06 TSX manual. Went out to drive it, and keyless remote did not work. Manual key does unlock the driver's side. But pulling the hood latch in the lower-left side does not seem to do anything.
I also noticed that the alarm light is still blinking, though the alarm is not going off. Trying to manually turn the key to unlock in driver's side does not seem to do anything. Turning the key in the ignition also does nothing. I also noticed the light on the door is very dim, so I am sure the battery is nearly dead.
Is there a way to open the hood if the latch does not seem to do anything? We had the Bluetooth slow drain a few years ago (and just disconnected it), and this is the first time we've had any issues since. Any ideas?

I can't think of anything related to a dead battery that would impede your ability to open the hood via the normal pull lever. It may help or make sense to have someone pushdown, rattle or bounce (gently) on the hood while you are pulling on the hood latch lever in case it stuck or jammed.
