Question Airbag light in cold weather, SRS code 53-34

The "check airbag system" light on my 2006 TSX will come on if left outside overnight in cold weather. It'll go away the next time the car is started later in the day as the temperature warms up, but it won't ever go off while I'm driving.

I took it to the local Acura dealership who said it showed code 53-34, which is "SRS unit internal failure due to battery voltage." They recommended replacing the battery, which only showed me getting 420 CCA out of the 500 it's rated for, and if that didn't solve it, to replace the SRS unit itself.

I replaced the battery (not at the dealer), and the airbag problem came back. Cost to replace the SRS unit is $1100. Anything else you guys can think of that might be wrong, or do I really have to replace the SRS unit for something that- oddly- only happens in cold weather?

The negative battery cable shows no signs of corrosion, and there's no other symptoms the car is having, so it doesn't seem to be the alternator at fault.

not sure if this would help.. 2004 Canadian TSX here, start showing intermittent passenger seatbelt light (is that an SRS light?) due to bad seat belt buckle on the passenger side.
