AC compressor relay not receiving signal from the ac controls
I have a 2004 TSX non-NAVI with AC that doesn't work. With the AC relay out direct power does cause the compressor to turn on and it was just refilled with freon and tested for no leaks today. I took the car to my friends shop and one of the guys there said I would need to replace the HVAC head unit, but before I do that is there anything else that might be causing it? I've had no issues with the other HVAC controls, all the fan speeds work and the heat works great. Is the only solution replacing the whole head unit? It is possible that some water may have gotten into the car through the sunroof as the car was my late grandfathers and he had left it underneath a tree for well over a year until he gave it to me. The foam in the headliner does also seem to be deteriorating so my best guess is that water came through the sunroof due to the drains being clogged with pine needles and such. I've had no other electrical issues besides that.
