Crap...I'm at 110,000 miles in my 6MT and I've got that damn clutch squeel noise when I start into first gear. Does anyone else know what I'm referring too? I think there was a thread about it.
I was going to wait till the fall to replace the clutch because it seems to be more of an annoyance than anything, but now I'm wondering if this is only an indicator of bigger things to come.
I haven't replaced my tranny fluid yet either because of what the manual said, but I'm bringing my car in for 110,000 mile service next Monday. Maybe I should ask them to do it anyway?
I drive 63 miles to and from work everyday (126 total) and about 90% of that is highway....

I would definitely have a good private shop do the work, the dealer is gonna kill you with their labor rates and full price parts.
Check the internet for a used tranny off an insurance loss car. I'm sure there must be some out there. Good luck.

Wow i remember this thread. Let me say that the only thing that could cause this was my car was once stolen and perhaps they beat on it.
Either was its been good since the new tranny. I literally baby this tranny.

Hi I had 88,000K on my 2005 and I had AAMCO rebuild it cost $3200. But it didn't help the squeaking noise I took in for. Now my steering wheel is loose yet I am not drifting and I am out here trying to find any help I can as I can't afford to replace the rack & pinion as has been suggested (another $900.00).
My car was driving find until I heard the squeaking noise, the first mechanic said it was the left tie rod which once replace drove out of the shop turn the corner and the couldn't get her in gear. Off to AAMCO rebuilt transmission, that lasted about 3 months then parked car to go into store came out couldn't get her into gear. Took it back to AAMCO had Master and Slave pumps on hydraulic replace $300.00. Got her back steering wheel is loose. (I can't afford to replace the R&P estimate about 1000)
