Rear window won't go up...what can I do?

My wife just got home from picking up the car. We had a mild fender bender (i backed up in a parking lot and hit a garbage dumpster on the driver side). It broke the tail light, scratched the bumper, and dented the rear quarter panel.

the body shop through my insurance took care of the damage. there was nothing wrong with the door that i know of.

the car has 62,000 miles on it, and the rear windows were not used much until we got a dog 9 months ago. is possible that the motor went caput?

any way to get the window up because she has to drive it to work tomorrow?

i'm out of town, so that complicates things even more.

How did it get down? I assume your wife rolled it down and now it won't go back up? Yes, motor/belt could have broken. Do you have an extended warranty o the TSX?

yes. she rolled it down. i think when the body shop did the work, they took the door handle off and maybe didn't reconnect something.

mechanic that did the work is going to fix it. he said he probably didn't re-connect something. he had to take the door handle off for the paint blending. bit of a pain, but oh well.

I imagine if he disconnected something then the window wouldn't have been able to go up or down, unless it was down when you dropped it off? GL and let us know if you find the issue.

More than likely (if not a loose connection) the motor crapped out on you. I've heard of this happening in a few cars.
