2004 TSX headlight issues
2004 TSX headlight issues
I have a 2004 TSX that has intermittent headlight issues. sometimes one, both or none will come on. Sometimes togging the light switch will change which ones come on. Turning off / on the ignition can change it too. Finding people say it could be the ballast, igniter, bulb, ground wire. It did seem to happen after a repair was done on the car after the front end was worked on. Any suggestions on how to determine the issue and if it the ground where is it going to?
Thanks for any help.

yes, you'll need to take off the front bumper. this will reveal all of the connections for a quick inspection of the clips/harnesses. it will also allow your adult hands to gain access to tight quarters.
next would be troubeshooting the ballast, by taking the known good one and swapping it to the other side.
thoiboi had the better suggestion; as you recently had the front end worked on...maybe the shop can look at it and see if they accidentally forgot to ground something

I wish I could. Repair shop in different state. I've tried looking up wiring diagrams to find where the headlights are grounded to see if there is something obvious, but didn't have much luck. It's happening on both sides so can really switch parts and I hate to buy new ballasts, igniters, and bulbs hoping it is one of them. Gets pricey.
