'06: Squeaking when rolling down windows
My '06 windows SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH too. It does not seem to be temperature related. My windows can be wet, dry, hot, cold, and they SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH on their way down.
Could this occurrence have something to do with the tight frames/moldings used to achieve the impressive .27 coefficient of drag?

A TSB came out for this on September 1, but it was for the TL only. Apparently that car is experiencing similar problems. Maybe enough TSX owners have not reported it for them to look into our car as well?

seriously, something needs to be done about this.
makes the car sound like a POS.
I have yet to take it to my dealer, since he is so far away from me. The last thing I want is to bring it there and they just lube it up and send me on my way.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but thought this might help. I went to the dealer this weekend to have them check it out. They reported that the window run channel was dry. Clean and lubed it up. So far no problems, then again, I don’t drive the car much.
thanks for finding this thread, i was just going to search on the same issue.
my drivers side window just started doing this last week, shortly after that my passenger started doing it. my rear windows haven't done it at all.
i'll try cleaning the horizontal strips at the base but i doubt this is the issue.. both sides just sound real 'chunky' even if it doesn't make the screech noise. rear windows sound smooth.

Sound like you regulator is bad. I got mine replaced on my rear right. Now my drivers side does it and rear left as well.
Here's what I think and it might be right.........
I have an '05 and it's been happening to my drivers side window since last summer and here's what I've noticed:
It only happens in summer. So as someone mentioned earlier in this thread, yes, I think it's temperature dependant.
Also, when it doesn't squeal, you might hear some sort of crumpling sound coming from inside the door. This only happens when the window is going down. The next time you open your windows and it doesn't squeal, listen carefully.
My conclusion is, there's probably something inside the door that's loose. So when your window rolls down, it's moving that piece (hence my crumpling sound). When that piece is "moved out of the way" persay, the window is probably 'scratching' along something else causing the squeal.
Once the window rolls back up, and if you're lucky, it will move that loose piece back into it's place eliminating the squeaking. After a few more times of of your windows going down, it may again move that piece away and so on.
Of course, I might be wrong, but that's just what I've observed.
I'll probably be taking mine to the dealer pretty soon.

ya i hear what you're sayin.. in my previous post that's what i described as the "chunky" noise, or as you say crumpling sound. i definitely hear that sometimes and other times its real smooth.
