Try:
- Intake upgrade (Injen, Comptech)
- Header upgrade (Comptech, DC)
- Hondata reflash
All three of the above should get you some very nice gains.
Also consider:
- throttle body bypass (DIY posted by JTso, do a search)

Light weight rims can make a big difference. Different makes of tires of each size often weigh different amounts, but the difference might only be 1 or 2 lbs, per tire. If anything, a lighter wheel&tire combo only reduces the strain on the drivetrain.
You benefit from the reduced rotational mass, of the drive wheels, which are easier to accelerate, and the advantage is there right across the rev range, plus they help you save fuel, and are easier on your clutch (if you have one). The big performance bonus is NOT just reducing the weight of a 3450lb car and driver by a measly 30lbs. There should also be some handling improvements from the reduced unsprung weight, but that's just another plus.
You can also change your car's effective gearing by changing the tire size. A 225/45-17 is slightly smaller in diameter than a 215/50-17, just less than a 2% difference. So, if you have 150 lb ft of torque at 2000 rpm, it will seem like you've now got about 153 lb ft (give or take some drivetrain losses). I believe the English Accord came with 205/55-16's, which are the same diameter as the 225/45-17's. Your car will sit about 0.5"/2 = 1/4" lower to the ground, and it will add to any "gap" issue you may have.

Hondata Reflash
Everything you wanted to know but was afraid to ask is in this huge thread:

p.s. If you're located in SoCal or are willing to drive to SoCal then there is an easier way.

All you people are forgetting the 50 neon lights all over the car. That'll add at least another 75whp.
Oh, and don't forget to get adjustable Powerbands.

Wow. You guys should honestly stop with posting BS. Hey Greek. You can try the intake, header and ecu reflash combo. It should work well and provide noticeable gains for your auto tsx.

Injen or K&N Intake if you don't mind noise.
Comptech Icebox, if you would rather have it fairly quiet.
