No, can't be.. I know they're both 2.4 litre, but doubt they're actually the same engine...

Well since they're both 2.4 L engines...They are part of the same series (K-Series) but different designations...
Just like the B-series engines found in Integra's and Civic's

Ok. Let's clear out some things here.

The car you see on the picture is the 03-** Accord. It has the same 2.4L engine block as the TSX does, the K24. It doesn't have the same state of tune as the Accord though, it is at 160hp.

And the reason why you can turbo an Accord K24 is because the Accord doesn't have DBW and VSA.

thank you for injecting some facts into this thread. The difference between the K24 engines is the head, our K24A2 uses the RSX-S head, so its more than tuning to get the 40HP more than the Accord I4.

now are my eyes deceiving me, or is that setup using the stock airbox!?

that wing is oem...there are 2 different sedan spoilers for the accord...the wing and the decklid (that is the decklid).

And the head is the difference between the accord and tsx motors. The TSX has dual I-VTEC. Basically it is the same difference as between the RSX base and RSX type-S.

ahh, so someone put the sedan lip spoiler on a coupe? Very nice.

I've heard mixed things about the differences between the TSX K24 (K24A2?) and the Accord K24 (K24A1?) The fact that the head of the TSX having the dual i-VTEC is new to me. I read the SCC article of putting the K20A1 head on the K24A1 block, basically making a poor man's TSX motor. But on the other hand, I've heard that that head swap will not do anything for the Accord K24 motors......I want more fricken power man!

HOLY COW!!!
That's the accord I've been seeing running around my neighborhood!!!
This Accord is actually located in Bangkok, Thailand. It has i-Vtec Engine 4 cyl 2.4 with turbocharged. It has auto tranny and most of the aftermarket parts are kept at minimum (as you can see they still use the stock air box).
They came up with two version V6 and l4. Both for auto tranny. The turbo is pretty big for the engine size (can't remember the specs) to avoid messing up the auto tranny.
Fuel is manage by piggy back and tuned on dyno.
Price when converted to $ is around $2800.

If it's really that bad, what's the point of having a turbo?

Just that I suppose that Hondata hasn't come up with an ECU with VSA and the programming for DBW integrated to it.

But I may as well be wrong too.
