trannies interchange?

I tried searching, but nothing conclusive?

the 6speed trannies from CTR, ITR, Euro-R, 06Si, and the RSX-S, will they fit our k24 without modifications or do we have a different casing?

Our casing is different. It's made from Magnesium-alloy rather than aluminum. Just for a reference, here is a chart that shows all the ratios for the K-series applications:

I figure we might as well have this one out there just in case anyone was curious.

You can switch the individual gears out though (it's the transmission case that is made from Mg). Black_6spd changed gears 2-5 out (so he now has the same ratios as a Civic Si or 2005+ RSX-S) and loves it.

I agree that you can change out individual gears if so you desire, but it's a pain in the ass. The TSX gears aren't much taller on 2-5, but some desire the little difference in tightness. Thankfully, we get the final drive of the ITR to help quicken up the gears.

I knew the gears were interchangeable but I was hoping I could just swap and get another one with better gears!

but I guess I´ll have to have mine ripped open and swap around in there

Most K24 swaps are running the RSX-S or ITR tranny due to mounting issues on Civics/DC2's. Check out K20A.org or clubrsx.com. There are ENTIRE FORUMS dedicated to trannies over there.

My advise would be to swap out gears and FD. Trust me, I've evaluated my options of simply purchasing a used or new ITR or Civic Si tranny and the gears made it a no-brainer.

However, if you plan on going with an LSD (~$1000), that will easily bump the price up to new tranny territory.
