Question Toda Headers Or Mugen Headers ?!?!?!?!?

I have 2005 TSX AT for about two years and I've been shopping around for an Intake Manifold that will give me good performance. Does anybody have TODA or MUGEN headers. Help I've been searching around for a long time.

I've also been think about getting the Spoon Sports Euro R Intake Manifold. But the problem with thatis I need to order a Euro R 2-1 pipe and maybe even a JDM CAT inorder for it to fit.

I'm so confused. Are you asking about intake manifold or header?

+1.

I was like what? He first mentioned getting an IM, then I thought he's gonna shop for Mugen or Toda header as well. Afterwards he mentioned about Spoon Euro-R IM w/ 2-1 Cat?

mav3556, do you know the differences b/w header and intake manifold? Just in case you got mix up, some people call header "exhaust manifold", but they do not = intake manifold.

All the header you mentioned above are RACE-HEADER, which comes w/ a test-pipe. Legal or not, you won't realize its true power until you have GOOD engine management. Where as now, we have none, except Hondata reflash, but it's design for normal bolt-on shorty header/intake/exhaust. If you are running reflash w/ Race header, it will get pretty lean and not good for your engine.

If you can dish out that much $$$, go for Hytech system. They come with the Hytech race-header, Hytech exhaust, cam, and custom-tuned Hondata-Hytech reflash. Your car will fly with all this, trust me, get it and let me do the test drive~

What size collector does the Toda header have?

I'd have to imagine 2.5" since it is a JDM design...

man i was stuck with this exact same problem a couple of months ago. ended up going with the Mugen though since it'll flow with the rest of my cars theme. i was considering on buying both of them at one point but in the end i realized that i wouldn't need both.

hey...

I don't have any prove on TSX yet since not alot of people running Race Header and post up a dyno. I do hover around on CRSX forum, and from what I read, REFLASH + Race header is not too good some how, makes your car run lean as hell and limiting its potential too. Someone with more knowledge can explain why.

My car has more of a Spoon Sports theme. I really want the Spoon exhaust Manifold. I was thinking about buying the 2-1 connecter piece that connects to the CAT and if the USDM CAT doesn't fit then I may want to get a JDM CAT. The only problem is if it will pass SMOG.

I hope tsxdriver or somebody else with a Mugen header posts a review how on good it is. I'm really looking for low to mid range torque or just more torque through out Rpm ranges.

Just a quick not I have AT not MT.

Errr... aren't these headers made for the K20A CL7? Won't that have fitment issues since the K24A block is taller?

Anyway over on this side of the Pacific, from various local user reports - you can't go too far wrong with either headers - the Toda is cheaper than the Mugen as the Mugen comes with a sports (hi-flow) cat while the Toda has just has a test pipe.

And yes, it's best to match these headers with aftermarket intakes and cat-back exhausts AND tuning to get the most of your $$$.

I wonder if the Toda would work better with the Hytech calibration rather than the shorty header/intake one. Kind of rigged, but it might behave similar.

Overall, I agree with your assessment. Any race header for our car wouldn't be taken advantage of unless we have a 45 degree VTC and k-pro.
