Jackson Racing uses the same blower as we have on their K series.
As far as I know there is only one guy running a Rotex blower on a RSX.
From what I've heard the Rotex is a great blower though. It's suppose to run more efficiently than the Eaton M62. I can't wait until this product is released. The thing I'm the most curious about is the engine management being used.
So no one has every heard of them before? There's gotta be a least someone out there with some info
It says they already have a TSX test car, but are looking for other test cars.
I also home these guys seek CARB approval since I'm in Cali

it looks like they are a hondata dealer too..so maybe hondata is working with them on the engine management...with our luck it will be a reflash with a piggyback unit...LOL

^^ LOL. You're probably right. Although, I wonder if they would be able to get away with a reflash only. If I remember correctly, Hondata said one of the limitations they had with the TSX ECU was being able to add fuel under boost conditions. That's why we have a darn piggyback.
Here's more info and pics of the Rotrex blower, along with intercooler. The intercooler in this thread is a top mount one though.

Dallas..., PA..................., sweet...., not to far away. It sucks that its for 06'+...., and I have an 05'................ well what ya gonna do..., ill just have to replace my 05' motor when it craps out in like 200,000 miles... (6-7 years)........, then ill be ready to mod the shit out of my car......, with all types of goddies from the future...... cant wait till I can have a nibble..., sleek, 300 hp car......, from all that money that I wont be paying towards my car payment....... SO WHAT DOES EVERYBODY THINK OF THIS PRODUCT/MANUFACTURER....?

Can you answer the questions about how you will be doing ECU and fuel management? Will you be working with hondata on a custom ECU flash & piggyback setup similar to Comptech's, or will there be something more to it?

Probably one of those. Hoping the 06 si will help with some ideas for tuning the tsx, and the si is coming along nicley.
Oh yeah were east coast so we probably will never need/want c.a.r.b exemption but..who knows.

How many PSI will your setup be?
So you'll be doing a front mount intercooler? Nice!
Do you have any pics of the Si setup by chance?

sorry been covering SEMA all day. Definitely going to check these guys out tomorrow morning at SEMA and talk to them about working with them on a supercharger to be completed. That is sweet that they are so close. Maybe if I give them my car for a while they can finish it by like the spring.

so this type of setup provides less power @ lower rpms. than the comptech setup....???? Not sure if thats for me then......, I'd want to get one to try to help with the lack of torq in the tsx...., even though it wont be much....

It may not be necessary to use an intercooler with low boost but it definitely wouldn't hurt. The cooler air reduces the amount of fuel needed to create the "cooling" effect to combat detonation. At the same time, you can probably run slightly less retarded timing and increase boost for more power as the chance of detonation is reduced with the cooler air.

RedShift Supercharger
Hi everyone,
I'm Chris from RedShift. Looks like Greg also chimed in already. These kits are under development, but we are looking at doing an accelerated development. Only concern is we don't want to go too fast. It has to be right.
The Rotrex is a great charger. I think you will all really love it. We've been looking at it and doing research for awhile now. Not many people even know what it is.
The bhp numbers are brake hp. Mult by .88 and you'll get approx whp numers. So 370 bhp is about 325 whp. And the 280 bhp base system will come in around 250 whp. Those are quite realistic for a good kit.
The big different from the eaton kits (jackson and comptech) is that a roots blower is great up to about 8 psi. Then it gets worse. It's downright ugly at 15+ psi. But the Rotrex has the same efficiency at 20 psi that the roots has a 10 psi. That will allow power power, safely.
I know there are alot of questions you guys have. I can tell you that we are very small. There is only 3 of us. Me (Chris), John, and Greg. There is also another person I can't name because he works elsewhere, but he is involved as a consultant and is an award winning engineer who has worked for years on 4cyl platforms for a premier manufacturer.
I am 37 and a product of Honda R&D where I coordinated new car development certain models.....my biggest project you may know is the MDX. I also worked on the 2 door accord and a sliver on the Pilot. I've been to the Honda headquarters in Japan and seen what the public doesn't get to.... spent time at the test track in Hokkaido Japan to... not to mention TRC in Ohio and the Marysville plant. Oh, and I'm also big into autocrossing.... even won a national championship a few years back.... so we can also setup a suspension as well as anyone.
It's hard to know what products at this level are good sometimes...but I can gaurantee all of you that I started this business 4 years ago with the intention of doing great things.... world leading things....and I'm banking on the success of these kits. They will be better than anything else out there now, and you will all see that soon. For now, if you come to visit, expect a crappy 1200 sq ft facility that keeps us warm but not much else.
And no kidding aside, if anyone know of an investor that may be interested in this business, please let me know. We have alot of work to do and are continuing to raise money to make this happen.
Thanks for reading. Please let me know if you have any questions.

^^Knowing this, you'll definitely have the support of this community. Keep us up to date and I'm sure we can always provide test beds.
I'm going to PM you to see if you ever worked with a family member in Marysville.

so what are you guys doing as far as engine management?? Thats what I really would like to know. Are you able to tune under closed loop? What kind of A/F ratio's are you hitting at that 325whp mark? Forget the last 2 questions, Im just really more concerned with the engine management
