ok im sick of this DBW shiet

Ok I really wanna get rid of this drive by wire Shiet. I just did a search and can not find anyone that has done one here. I want to either just swap out the TB or replace the entire head with a type R or type S head. Is there any write ups anywhere? Has anyone accomplished this yet? I want to turbo my freakin car and im tired of waiting on hondata so if there is some way to get rid of the TB I want to do it that way i can run a type S ecu with a k pro. I saw that thread with the guy on rsxclub that did a TSX swap into his rsx but i want to keep my engine and just swap the throttle body and ecu how hard could it be? And will i have to rewire the entire wiring harness??? I hate electronics =(

Stoke, I think you're fighting an uphill battle with this one.

The realtime guys did it but they had a custom ECU. I think the DAZZ car was also converted but I'm not 100% on that. By removing the DBW system, you'll probably also end up screwing up the VSA system.

The only way I can see this working is if you were to change the ECU to the K-Pro for the RSX but I'm pretty sure the pinouts are completely different. I have a feeling there are so many complications that it would make it unrealistic to attempt.

I think there is a way. You should try to PM this guy and ask him. He swapped a TSX engine into a RSX using a 5spd tranny and also has k-pro on it. Does anyone know if the EuroR uses the Drive By Wire? If not maybe just swap the TB? Or use a DC5R TB?!?!?

He's still using an RSX version of the K-Pro though. The problem is that the pinouts are different on the TSX.

That might not work cause I believe the RSX and TSX harness must be very differnet. Did that guy reply you anything about it yet? You know what. You should give HasSport a call and see if they could help you out!!!

Here's some tantalizing bits for the K24 link to ClubRSX

Straight K24A2 swapped into a base RSX, 215WHP on a 5spd, that's mighty impressive. Really nothing special about it other than its using a K-Pro and all the boltons w/ a bored TB. Bodes well for the Hondata whenever it comes out for the K24.
