lip spoiler

i've been looking at a few threads about the lip spoiler.

theres:

spoon
phase
xenonspecialists
and a few other no namers

are there any differences between the lip spoilers? quality? fitment? to my understanding the spoon spoiler is a bit different from the others. any comments about any of them?

xenonspecialists is just the name of an ebay user...There are all different types of lip spoilers. There's OEM, spoon, mugen, etc....They all look completely different from eachother, fit different, the quality of those 3 are all probably the best quality you could want. I would just make sure that you buy a quality one and not a knock off. If it's a knock off, it will probably say something like "mugen style" Hope this helps you a little bit.

bought mine from xenonspecialist, received spoiler with paint chipped off
no dmg's done to the box so i guess it's painter's fault.
neways, it's pain in the ass to trying to contact him and find a resolution.
it's been two weeks since i received it and so far only answer i got is, it was insured for 70 dollars via usps.

shitty customer service

I've had my M3 lip spoiler on for a couple of months, got it from xenonspecialist a couple months back. Honestly, I took it off to reapply it in the summer next year, and I'm really diggin' the no spoiler look. Just so clean

But then again, I don't have a underbody kit. With the kit, I'd assume any lip spoiler would look suave.

yea i know xenonspecialist is just the name of a user but the lip spoiler he has is different from the rest. and i'm not talking about the OEM spoiler that you're talking about although there is an oem lip spoiler i believe. the spoon, phase, and the one xenonspecialist has are very similar. thats why i'm asking if theres a difference between those 3 i.e. quality and things. i'm looking to buy a lip spoiler off a member on this board and decided to look at other lip spoilers and their fitments. and what people think about how each look.

there is a thread about replica spoiler thing going on. You might want to check it out! supershyguy is producing the replica of edm spoiler so you might want to wait and see how it turns out. I personaly think those spoilers are way over priced..

Yeah, xenonspecialist...I haven't heard good things about that seller though. On another thread, the buyer accidentally bought the wrong color, he emailed the seller and he wanted to charge him 80 bucks extra to repaint the already painted spoiler when he could have just sent him the color he needed, since he had it in stock. He then blocked the buyer. Also, another person was saying that they received their lip with paint chipped off. I guess that could have been due to shipping, but I doubt it. I'd just be careful...

I don't see what's so hard to listening to the directions he has on his auction. He clearly states, you get what you pay for, so MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE AUCTION WITH THE RIGHT COLOR.

Not that hard. The seller has no fault in that whatsoever.

True...I'm not defending the buyer, I'm just saying to be careful when buying from him.

The spoon and xenonspecialist ones are nothing alike. Spoon is much closer to oem ducktail than the xenonspecialist.

The spoon looks alot better imo but its damn expensive compared to xenonspecialist. I got the spoiler from xenonspecialist with on complaints. Fitment and paint was good.

i recently bought an 07 TSX. i actually went back to the dealership this week to pick something up and i noticed that a number of the showroom 07 TL's had the trunk lip spoilers. anyone know if there is one specifically manufactured by acura for the TSX? the guy i spoke to didn't really know much and just recommended i call the parts and accessories hotline for acura. thanks.

Not is the US/Canada - only the rest of the world.
If you wanted one, I'll happily organise it from here (UK), but you're looking at the thick end of $450 landed.

^^ lmao. once again, that is the most redicious price for a small lil wing. I'm still waiting for supershyguy to produce some copies of edm spoilers.

It's only a "ridiculous price" since the cost of item includes 17.5% sales tax.
If I can work out a way to remove it/the recipient to claim it back, then the price drops quite a bit.
That's unfortunately the cost of having something unique on your side of the pond which isn't currently already imported by Honda/Acura for whatever reason.

When SSG gets in touch, I'll send his over - then you can run an OEM copy 'til your little heart's content.

Don't knock things just because you can't afford it or won't pay the asking price - have some decorum.........or is that asking too much of a youngster these days?!
