Thumbs up MOMO shift knob on TSX

I will post pics of my MOMO Evo Carbon Fiber/Leather Shift knob installed on my TSX. No Digital Cam

But No, the MOMO shift knob you want will not fit because its originally for Manual Transmission. (if you have manual then, )

I was able to fit a M/T MOMO shift knob on my A/T TSX.

The diameter of the metal rod from the A/T on the TSX after you screw off the original OEM knob is 0.25 inches.

Because the MOMO shift knob package only includes a small rubber cap that is not long enough to fill in the cavity of the new Shift knob, I had to improvise and get a rubber tube that filled the whole cavity of the new MOMO shift knob that would first fit inside the MOMO shfit knob cavity and then once the rubber tube was in place, it had to then fit on the metal TSX rod.

My MOMO shift knob required this rubber tube I fit inside:

Outside Diameter: 0.5 inches
Inside Diameter: 0.25 inches ( this should be same for you, because we both have TSX , mine is 2005 by the way)

The trick is to find rubber tubing that has the outside diameter that will fit inside your new MOMO knob and also have the inside diameter of 0.25 inches for the metal TSX rod. And hard enough rubber tubing that can have the 3 Hex screws, dont get rubber tubing like the thin catheter like tubes used in hospitals.

It was a B*tch trying to find rubber tubing with those O.D and I.D ! But after cutting the rubber tube, and fitting inside the new knob and then fitting on the rod, and then screwing in the 3 hex screws, Wa la!

All this could be prevented if MOMO included a rubber tube long enough rather than that small rubber cap! but then they did say it was for Manual Transmission.

Read my post above, but if anyone else has better ideas for installing M/T Momo Shift Knob on an A/T TSX, its all Good! But this was how I was able to intall this on my 05 TSX. I love it. My TSX now reminds me of my friends 2004 BMW 3 Series which is Modded with AC Schnitzer up the Ying Yang!

Need more shiftknobs...

I'm also thinking of changing the AT Shiftknob...

But I'm not sure about what I've found.

Any other spots/companies to check?

How about wraping duct tape around the shaft, then put the knob over it?

Is there any kit / fitment adapter available to make such MT knobs fit on our ATs?

Personally I've been oggling over the Momo Evolution F16. It seems like this was almost built to be an AT knob anyway, looks more style than function I may have to buy one soon and find a way to fit it later.

I really like the same style but with the carbon fiber look.
