Ice box in heavy rain?

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with their comptech icebox in the rain. I was driving in some flooding the other day and I was scared as hell, but I made it home ok. I figure it should be safe because the filter is in the air box, but I'm still wondering if I could suck up water and wet the filter. Anyone else have any experience with this?

i have an icebox also ....i'm down here in jax fl and it seems like it rains here like every other day ...i have a k&n filter instead of the foam that comptech sent ...i havent had any problems with water yet...and if i did the filter dries quite quickly ...but if anywater was to get into your manifold you would know it immediately

the bottom of the stock airbox, which is reused, has vents in it. So even if the snorkel was totally submerged you'd just be sucking in hot engine bay air.

And even with those vents there would be no chance of any water getting through the filter to the throttle body?......I guess anything could happen......I'm just being cautious cause now that my car is dropped and all the flooding thats been going on around me, there is a good chance I could submerge the snorkel. I could always just the snorkel part off.

people worry pretty easily... the icebox will be fine. i have my car in CAI and the streets were flooded a week or so back. no problems.... and the filter is a foot or more closer to the ground.
