How often do you clean your wheels? I've been running the Axxis pads since Aug and I can't stand the dust. I'm planning on getting a new set of wheels and changing my pads because I would have to clean my wheels every week.

The dust doesn't bother me. A little liquid laundry detergent solution in a spray bottle and it all comes off with a little scrubbing with a soft brush.

its weird....., i have started to notice dust buts the dust is alot different than the oem pad dust...., the HP plus pads dust is alot lighter and dosent stick as much as the oem.... But non the less the dust is there and probably is more than oem but like I said I think alot blows right off and doesnt stick.. I havent tried washing my wheels yet but from just rubbing them with my finger...., I dont think that it will be that difficult to remove unlike the oem pad dust... my 2cents..........

But it dosent really matter the set screws just making installing a little easier...., and do not provide any other function.....obviously the lugs hold the rotor in place.....
Do you think I can do this without an impact screw driver, thereby mangling the set screws? Will I be able to get the screws all the way out with normal standard tools (plain old screwdriver) and then simply replace rotor and also replace set screws?

Buy an impact driver. It should cost less than $15. It's the one that turns when you hit the end with a hammer.
