I did all 5 and mine cost like $280 out the door

 

Window tint quotes for TSX can range from $175-$300. The price also depends on what you get. If you get a shop that uses a good film you can expect to pay the upper level of the prices. But if you find a shop using something like solar guard you will save a bit of cash. Also...expect to pay about $15 more for the windshield strip and another +$35 for the sunroof.

I got metallized tint. Non metallized risks turning purple. I am pretty sure it is under 20% usually isn't metallized. Maybe someone can verify that?

Just remember the higher percentage, means the more light gets through

If I remember correctly:
limo tint (dark)=20%
presidential tint (very dark)=5%

I think a lot of people use ceramic tint too, which isnt supposed to interfere with radio.

I get a little static from mine, but dont know if thats the tint or shitty srevice.

 

Crappy film turns purple, metallized film fades away and gets lighter.

Presidential tint=some fancy name some schmuck gave you! Or it's a certain brand from a certain mfr.


Ceramic = metallized.........The word metallized got such a bad rep the industry changed they verbage.

I paid $120 for the side and rear windows all 15% but i have a friend at the tint shop. Retail quote from there was $200.

 

Paid $200 includes lifetime warranty, 5 windows total - 3 rear windows and 2 front windows

 

I have a 20% in the back windows and back, but I didn't tint the front windows this time. On my old 99 Accord it was 20% back and 35% front, but I kept getting tickets or warnings from cops in IL.

 

Seems like everyone here is paying quite a bit for their tints. I got mine for 110. But my friend and i got it done at the same time so they gave us a discount. I got the front side windows at 35% and the back and back side windows at 15%. The sun roof is usually already factory tinted at 5%(?). Good luck finding a good deal. And most tinting places should give u lifetime warranty anyways. Unless they're afraid of their own shoddy workmanship.

 

I've always thought that a Ceramic tint was non-metalized. That's why they say it won't effect navi reception and other things.

I paid about $290 total for Formula Pinnacle Ceramic Tint. 50% in front doors and 15% on the rest.

 

Cost me $125 + Tax.

 

Ceramic Tint is a non-metalized film. The top ceramic film on the market right now is Huper Optik which some members (including myself) were willing to pay up to $600 for. Its a very popular brand in the TL forums, just do a search over there.

 

You had to pay tax for your tint? Maybe it's a NJ thing.... there's no tax for tint in Cali as far as I know. Taxes suck!

 

I paid $135.00 USD in california...35% tint all-around...every window except the front windshield. Life-time warranty!
