Hondata an option finally!

We had spoken with an inside source and there is a dual ECU setup K-PRO going to be released for the TSX very shortly. It is being unveiled at SEMA.

The cost of an additional ECU, the harness, and the K-Pro means that is won't be an inexpensive option...but an option none-the less!

wow.
interesting news.
I've heard over and over that K-PRO would not be how they
approached it, they would use something different.
nice to see they have it working, this will open many doors.

the turbos can be heard in the distance...

I hope this will not be limited to 6MT owners, which I fear it will like all other K-Pro options.

losing DBW would not be a bad thing...

wow.. the options would really open up.
I wonder if this will be available for all years of the first gen or not...

if this all comes about, then we're going to see some
seriously powerful TSX's. Our engine is just waiting...

On second thought... Since it uses with the stock ECU, the DBW will most likely stay.

Marcus is correct, I was at SEMA yesterday and while I forgot to take pictures for you guys, it is confirmed that K-Pro will be released shortly for the TSX and DBW S2000's.. The K-Pro will work with the Auto trans as well, but cruise control is not working for the auto or manual transmission applications at this time..

I am working on a high quality turbo setup for the TSX right now, and already have a kpro system lined up for it..

Joe! Welcome!

Everyone, Joe Locash I have known for many years now. He's very knowledgeable and has been working with Hondas since the dawn of time, or at least since it's been cool to do so.

Anyway, let the fun begin!

Thanks for the welcome, Markie Marcus!

Oh, and for those that asked, the DBW will be retained, no need to switch to a cable throttle body for K-Pro, but you will need to put the K-pro under the passenger seat..

IMO, no cruise control is a small price to pay for being able to finally tune our cars!

Hondata used to give discounts to existing reflash owners when upgrading to K-pro. I hope the same still applies to the TSX.

Wait I still don't get all the hype. The title says "Hondata finally an option." Does that mean its an option for a reflash for 07 and up? Or does it mean reflash 06 and down with K-Pro? Or does it mean reflash for all year (except 09) including both MT and AT AND K-Pro? Help me guys, I'm going in circles here.

I took a pic of the setup. It is a dual ECU setup that requires you to use your stock ECU to run your gauges, electronics, etc and the Hondata ECU to run your motor. It was listed as fitting the 04-06 TSX and they also released a similar setup for the 06-09 S2000.

This goes way beyond reflash. Kpro is a fully programmable ECU. You won't be fixed to just 1 combination, but with a tuner, you can customise the tune to your engine and setup.
