HKS AFR-D. weres the map and which one is the signal wire.
I have one of these from a car long gone and came across it.
before anyone jumps on the it won't work because the apexi's don't. this is way more low tech, it doesn't need tps rpm and doesn't touch vtec.
that being said id like to try it. I can do a wire run from under the hood or I can spice in at the computer which ever. I think I would prefer under the hood actually. can anyone help me out?
heres the instructions its super low tech and only good for 1 point afr plus or minus. just want to get alittle more fuel in it with some of the mods.

The MAP signal wire under the hood is the center wire (green/red) on the MAP connector. Btw, how did you determine that you need more fuel, and where (rpm or load range) do you think the fuel is being applied by adding this device?

its broad sweeping basically always on. it will make it rich down low up high etc. its similar in that regards to a adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
I'm more doing it for latter expansion of mods and I'm getting a wot ping even on good fuel. also need to look at some others dyno's a little more.
thanks for the help hope to dig for the wire tomorrow never even looked for the map on my wifes car generally were should I find it?

It's a plastic dealy mounted on the top of the throttle body. I doubt you're going to get the results you're hoping for. The TSX ECU is probably too smart for this to work and I think the most likely outcome is that you'll get a CEL and the ECU will go into wimpy mode because it sees something wrong.
Let us know what happens.

big fat goose egg.
it doesn't do anything crazy like buck or not idle but its throwing a light. the unit may be dead its been in a shed loft for 4 years covered in other random parts. I left my splic in place in case I want to mess with it again.

There isn't much too those things, just a varistor (variable resistor) so I doubt it's dead. I just think it's confusing the ECU too much. There are enough sensors in this engine that the ECU can tell when the reading from one sensor doesn't make sense in the context of everything else it is seeing.
Oh well, it was worth a try.
