Arrow Does Anyone Have the Front Windshield Tinted?

I'm about to get my TSX teinted and I'm thinking about going with 15% all the way around except for the windshield where I'm thinking either 50% or 35%. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Not sure what the laws are down there, but i know in most states it is illegal to have your windshield tinted at all except the top 6", which usually comes with a semi tint on it already from the factory. And actually as i walked to work this morning, i saw a Suburban with about 15%-20% all the way around including the front windshield and you couldn't see anything inside that car. Turns out, on the back of the SUV it has a tinting business logo and number....lol Also had 20" wheels and a chrome grille....

You can do whatever you want because i think any's illegal but if you feel you have to, 50% would be the safest bet, especially at night! On the whole car i have 35% and i wish i went a little darker but i didn't want problems with the cops!

If you mean the entire windshield that's a no-can-do, because it's completely illegal. I went with 35 all around and left the windshield alone.

The most I've seen was a 6-8 inch stripe of tint on the top and bottom half of a windshield leaving the middle open. Check with several local tint places to find out what is acceptable, I’m sure they have to be familiar with local city/state ordinances in your area.

Just keep in mind, what is OK for one city/state might get you hefty fine in another.

it's illegal to tint the windsheild... just tint the rest of the windows... it's hard enough to see out the back when it's dark at night, i'd hate looking out a tinted windsheild on a dark night... you wouldn't be able to see shit

Guys I know it's illegal but nobody here gets pulled for it. A 50% tint for example would not be hard to see out of at night. I don't want anything dangerous so I'm thinking 50% would be good. I knew a guy that went 15% all the way around including the windshield.

Nobody has the front tinted at all below the 6 inch line?

Why don't you try wearing sunglasses with the same % tint as the windows at night. Then you can get a feel what it will be like driving with tint to see if you can live with it.

Just let me know what state/city you are from so I can say off the roads at night.

Does oncoming traffic actually create taht much glare where u have to look away? UNless its just a one lane street and a rig truck with spotlights is beaming down at you.... LOL

If that's the case why dont u wear sunglasses at nite!! As its not always lights glaring from every car.

never had a problem and even its not illegal to tint the windshield...i wont be tinting it at all.

I would think its dangerous as you wont be able to see whats in front of you clearly eg pedestrians, animals etc...

Have you ever looked out of 50% tint at night? If not how do you know it's unsafe?

‘04 TSX…dealer put on what we call limo tint on back and one shade lighter on sides…would not tint the front…not sure if legal in TX…they said no….but if you like it, enjoy..

OK, going to blow my cover (age) here but the ‘youngers’ in the group need to hear this tint story…came out of HS with a really good paying job and bought a new 67 Goat, Cardinal Red…black inside….Tinted the sucker…the way it was done in the stone age was with a paint type film that was pored down the window and caught is a tray at the bottom…to do the windshield they put the car on a rack and tilted it forward…

Looked good, at stop lights people would offer to buy it on the spot…DOWN side: could not see jack to either side at night…front was marginal at night in the rain but we are talking way beyond 50%.......had to “roll down” the window to make a left turn on dark roads….’car hops’ would not come up to the car unless you rolled down a window..Etc….did not tint my 69 or 72 GTO or the 280z except for back…TSX is first full tint since the goat.....ok, ok no more back when’s…

tint it i have it and have no regret...of course the risk of getting pulled for it and yes i have been pulled for it but i just paid it and went on my way....but no adverse affect as far as vidibility...it definetly blocks cuts down on the sun during the days and cuts glare and doesnt make the car any darker at night...and personnally i think it looks great it completes the look of tints on the sides

i don't have a tsx but i've had 50% quantum tint on my windshield on all the car's i've owned. it's not hard to see out at night at all. it's actually harder to drive with no tint in the windshield especially with all the light in your face. but maybe i'm use to the tinted windshield =/ it does make the car look very stealth tho

Is it the picture or is it really that hard to tell? If it's hard to tell in person, I might seriously consider getting one for my car as well.

But what if you get in an accident? Say it is 100000% THEIR fault and you were the victim. What's stopping their insurance company from saying YOUR tint on your windshield prevented you from taking action and incapacitated you from properly seeing the oncoming accident that was waiting to happen?

You have to compare it side by side with other TSX or other car with untinted windshield, TSX with untinted windshield is actually look greenish which is fugly IMO. Other cars windshield may look blueish without tint like new Benzs & Nissans.

Its illegal to tint the front windshield, but there is a way to tint it legally! Two of my friends went to eye doctor and got a prescription to disability called xenophobia (??). I heard its a disability to strong sunlights and they are allowed to limo tint the sides and rear and also tint the front windshields legally.

They told me to just cry whenever doctors shine the lights on eyes and you'll be awarded with a prescription to legally tint the windows to darkest level.

^^ i assume it's because sunglasses won't keep the heat out of his car, and keep people from seeing into the back seat...
