Conptech exhaust is LOUD

Does anyone know if the Comptech exhaust with the quiet tip is quieter than the Fujitsubo? I have the exhaust without the tips and it is very loud with drone and vibration in the armrest. I'm considering the the Fujitsubo exhaust althought if the quiet tips make a huge difference, I'll consider keeping the Comptech...any comment on the quiet tips? If the tip only make a slight difference, any one want to trade their Fujitsubo form my Comptech?

If you think the Comptech is loud, the Fujitsubo will only be worse...

I heard fujitsubo on EURO R and is quiet as hell. You will have to notice to even hear the exhaust is installed

OK...which is it? The Fubo is 'quiet as hell', but the Comptech is also quiet...'Won't like the Fubo if I don't like the Comptech...' In reality the comptech is not quiet at all. Loud with lots of drone and armrest vibration.

Everything I've seen posted here indicates otherwise. The Fuji Legalis is supposed to be the quietest catback out there for the TSX. Andynolife recently posted a review with a clip and it was very quiet, subtly deeper of a tone than stock, yet not obtrusive. I hope so because mine is making its way across the Pacific as I type this post.

I don't know where you got that info from, but the Fuji exhaust is super quiet.

Yea, thats the TL not the TSX...anyways...., that sound clip out side of the car is not half as lound is when heard inside the car. (this also goes for other Comptech sound cilp for TSX) I guess from what I hearing is the Comptech is loud and the Fubo is not as loud...Still no word if the Comptech with quiet incets is on par or quieter than the Fubo.

Usually when you have a silencer for the muffler, it quiets up the exhaust big time. I have a Hayame Canister catback for my Integra and its crazy loud. But when I put my silencer on, the only thing I hear is my CAI. I don't know if the quiet tip for the Comptech muffler is the same thing as a silencer, but I assume it is. If so, then you'll be fine.

I have the Comptech and know it can be quiet as a whisper if you just keep your revs under 3K, but ya, its loud as hell if you redline it

Does the silencer negatively impact the power gains you got when switching to the aftermarket exhaust in the first place?

I noticed a response difference with my Comptech quiet tips and the butt dyno says maybe some loss in power, but the mpg don't change in either case.

Hi there! I need to paint my stock tips with AMG like chrome tips. I was using my electric tool to remove the screw but it was very difficult to do. Any suggestions?

Heat and penetraint oil... in that order. I snapped the screws with a box end wrench after 2 years of being on the car... good luck!!

When you come in from a drive (so the tips are nice and hot as well as the screws) spray some penetrating oil on on the screws (like WD40). The screws get locked in from many heat cycles, so they might snap. After a few days of doing this, while they're hot again, try to take them off. Mine snapped b/c I did it when it was cold and didn't use any oil on them (thought they would just come right off).

No probs for me because I got the Comptech Exhaust anyway... I was just saving the tips for a buddy.

They are all pretty much same in person as in the video, except it is hard to hear the deep end of the Comptech with small computer speakers. Also, the Fujitsubo was revved a bit higher than the rest, so take that into account

I can't tell you about the Fujitsubo, but the quiet tips did the trick for the Comptech exhaust. Makes it liveable again. Comptech should include them with the kit.

I took mine out for the SCCA runoffs since I was going a few miles and wanted to enjoy it. But for everyday driving, I like the quiet tips in.... besides my son appreciates the quieter backseat.
