I was looking up the blower info to post in the Redshift motorsports thread, when I noticed that Comptech is selling an SC kit for the 06 Manual. Since I hear questions about it's release, I just thought I would let people know.

So much supercharger news today, wow! Great news, that means the 06 AT kit can't be far away. I'm definitly going to wait to hear more about these other kits under development now though.

 

Ah jeez...and I was set on just getting Hondata+pulleys to complete my engine mods because I thought it would take Comptech at least 6-8 months to come out with the S/C kit for the '06 6MT.......

now my G35 friends will not only envy my luxurious interior , but a high revving vtec running 370hp. what a great news

 

so can the stock tranny handle this? or would I have to upgrade my tranny as well?

I think comptech should able to handle with our stock tranny because thats what they used to tested wit. Plus, its only 50 hp gain and running pretty low psi so should be fine. For redshift, its too early to say it...but not sure how our stock tranny is going to handle 370 bhp?

Btw, does anyone know who the test car was for the '06? Was it someone from here, and if so does he have a dyno of the gains? I'm curious to see if there are any additional gains over the '04/'05 S/Ced TSXs.

We should see some high 12 second timeslips this spring at the track with the Supercharged 06 6MT's

 

Alright, Im a really optimistic person, but even I dont think you will see anything other than a shop car hitting high 12's within the next year...thats gonna take a lot of time and money to reliably make 12 second passes all day long with this car. Thats a lot of boost were talking about here...you realistically hafta get this car up to about 355whp and about 325 ft/lbs to be hitting 12's and even with that my numbers might still be low

 

4banger, 4 door.......12sec...... , i will just be happy with high 13's.

 

From what I've seen before, I don't think we're anywhere near 12 yet.

 

12 sec??? you gotta have some serious mod to hit 12 sec..

 

They did release a 05 M/T kit. In fact I have on sitting in my shop. A/T though is a different story. If anyone needs one of these kits let me know. I was going to post this info up b/c I just saw it but I have been at SEMA.
