hey i bought the comptech headers and exhaust (cat-back) from acura they order it through the comptech site from the us shop and i got them to install it, it looks great by the way but the only thing that i notices was that my exhaust wasn't loud, like i got exhaust b4 on my other car n it was loud but my tsx ones r not, is there a way to check if they like put the quiet tip insert in by a mistake or could it b the headers, i donno.. any help will b great.....thanks

 

uh.. look for the quiet tips in there. If it was done by a shop, they probably installed them. Although I do not have it, I understand they just plug right in and out.



Hrm, looks like its just held in place by 1 screw or bolt.

I run Comptech's exhaust and it's louder than stock but it's not like having a coffee can on the back. Put in the quiet tips and it's almost like stock which I really like, Comptech doesn't really make anything that makes your car "loud"

 

^^ with the possible exception of the Icebox at WOT and 6000rpm.

 

if you don't mind: how much did they charge for header installation??

 

k i looked at my exhaust and there is no quiet tip that i can see thanks for the link gsclifton, and drkabe i donno how much cuz i got them to install the headers and the exhaust at the same time n as well as my tune up too i know the hole thing cost me about 2300CAD so ya....i'll get some pics soon when it warmer out here in alberta is snowy n cold....LoL
