You guys know the best place to buy 06 AT Shift Knob?

I tried black market already. No luck so far though. What websites would you guys recommend?

Thanks!

I wouldn't be sure at all, but the dealership wouldn't happen to carry those would they?

Whats the difference between the 04/05 and 06 AT knobs? I've never actually been in a 05AT, only the MT.

Yeah, Kenny, what is the difference? I didn't notice one when I sat in a number of cars at my dealership.

I think the 06 knob is more rounded. Slightly better looking and of higher quality as well. Although I may be cofusing it with the TL knob.

Yep...Dom hit the nail on the head. It just had a little better feel to it. I'm thinking about changing to the 06 one depending on the price. I find myself in SS mode a lot nowadays

Isn't 04/05 a bit larger as well?

Might be a possibility....How much is a momo? Which one you want?

Anyone know the part number for the 06 AT shift knob?

^^ I was really close to accepting that trade XenonHid

....until dwest1023 stepped up and sold me his. Special thanks to dwest1023 for giving me a very reasonable price and very fast shipping on my new 06 AT Shift Knob

Here's some pics so you guys can see the comparision. The two knobs aren't dramatically different, but there is enough of a difference that I've noticed it over the last few days since install. The 04 AT Knob is more square and the leather on mine was starting to get pretty worn on it. The 06 AT knob is more rounded, a little shorter, has better leather, and just feels more comfortable to me. For the price I paid, I'm very happy that I made the switch.

Here's are some comparision pics.

Cool that you got the switch done and you like it.

Sorry for making a half-hearted offer and not following up, I'm usually not like that Enjoy the 06 styling. I can see in the side comparison how it could definitly make a difference in in-hand feel.

Thanks Reach. It's all good about not following through. I figured you were busy are something. It all worked out though

Yeah, I'm in SS mode all the time nowadays and I'm really enjoying the new leather on the shift knob. My old one was starting to get pretty worn down.

Forgive my stupidity, but the TSX is my first AT car. Does the shift knob on the AT TSXs twist off like a MT knob or is there some trick to it?

P.S. I like the look of the 06 shiftknob... looks a lot slicker than the 04-05 ones. I might have to change mine sometime too.

Yeah to get the shift knob off you just turn counter clockwise. You gotta turn pretty hard to get is started, but it will come off.

Where and how much?

Was looking to do this, but since I couldn't find any place that sells it as less than dealer price, I ended up getting the RL knob, which is the same minus the dimples...

I just picked up my '06, as my '05 was totalled, and truthfully, I prefered the feel of the '05 shifter. It sat a touch higher, and has a bit more substance to it.
