auto headlights

ok ive search many places, but no luck. this "having to manually turn on the headlights" is freakin bothering the Heck out of me. ive own my car for some months now and ive been patient but not anymore. is there some kind of aftermarket parts/sensor that i can have installed that'll make the headlights turn on automatically? i hate it when couple of my friends driving toyotas and such see me manually turn on the lights when theirs is auto. ugh~

If you leave your headlights ON when you turn the car off and leave it, the headlights will automatically turn OFF after about 10 seconds. When you start the car the headlights will already be in the ON position and will come on. Hope this helps.

The owners manual is your friend. Also, if I was 18 and driving a TSX, and had friends with toyotas laugh when I manually did anything, I would remind them that they were driving toyotas.

Auto lights are a nuisance. That's why some people drive in pouring rainstorm/snowstorm during the day without lights on, as they don't have the habit of turning on the headlights.

On a side note, and not to highjack this thread, in Japan the drivers dim their headlights when at an intersection to show courtisy to drivers infront of them and across the intersection. I thought that was a nice touch. So, they were always turning their headlight on and off.

on an 06 tsx.. i can cahnge the time interval how long thye lights stay on if i leave them on.. it could be 15 secs. or more. or even 0.. i like 0 except for when i unlock my door. the lights wont turn on til i open it.. also when i have it one (15.. the default).. when i lock the door.. the lights turn off. and back on... its kinda annoying at first. i wish theyd just stay on.. lol but im pretty sure u should be able to adjust ur time interval.. so they'll stay on

Whether your 18 or 80, turning on the friggin lights after you've hit "okay" on the friggin liability navi screen is a nuisance. I had auto lights on my sh1tty American car. After you live with that feature for several years, its hard to get used swithing the lights on...no matter what age you are.
