What's your favorite shift?

What's your favorite shift?
To me, this is a totally separate question from "What's your favorite gear?" and I think people were confusing the two. This should make it more clear. Everyone please post!
Mine's 5-4. Blip it, pull the shifter straight back, and I'm gone!
Edit: I didn't include double-upshifts (because those are boring ) or triple-downshifts (does anyone really do that?), or double-downs into 1st (does anyone really NEED to do that?). Hopefully I've got everyone covered.
Edit again: This thread isn't just for MT snobs. You AT guys can shift too, when you want!

I'd think that 3rd is too high to get good engine braking in traffic....

I didn't think many people would like that one....

hmm maybe I'm not following, I don't do it all the time, but when I do do it the car seems fine with it. Please explain how I'm destroying my sycros? when I'm crusing at like 75-70, dropping to forth doesn't put me into the sweet spot. It's not like I shift from 6, then rev it hard, and then shift to 3rd. I just take it out of 6, and then drop it to third and hold on.

Manual transmissions in modern passenger cars use synchronizers to eliminate the need for double-clutching. A synchro's purpose is to allow the collar and the gear to make frictional contact before the dog teeth make contact. This lets the collar and the gear synchronize their speeds before the teeth need to engage, like this:
The cone on the blue gear fits into the cone-shaped area in the collar, and friction between the cone and the collar synchronize the collar and the gear. The outer portion of the collar then slides so that the dog teeth can engage the gear.
Every manufacturer implements transmissions and synchros in different ways, but this is the general idea.

If you just jam it into third without rev matching you can see by the diagram that it wouldnt be very good now would it?
If this doesnt make sense go back to http://auto.howstuffworks.com/transmission1.htm and read through the entire thing

I wouldn't worry about the double clutching part, rev-matching should be good enough. If you want to get to third from sixth, you really should go to fith and fourth first. You need to get your transmission up to speed before you get on the gas.

I think FF ruined the reputation of double clutching for everyone. Stupid movies...

C'mon, Rice! Everybody ELSE like 5-4.... How could an upshift possibly be more fun than a downshift?!

if i really need to pass someone, all i have to do is downshift to fifth...
why would you downshift to third going 70? ouch! when you pass someone, do you floor it too? goodness, it's not neccessary.
