What do you guys think???? His first offer or the best he could do was $27,251..thats alot over invoice..or $29,523 out the door. I told him that guys all over this site were getting cars with navi for that price...he doubted it. They also tried to lowball me on my RSX -S trade -in. I had to walk out even as the detail guy was doing my car. I still cannot believe what went down.

I think most people are getting with navi for around 28,000 + TTL. Non-Navi, i'm not sure, but seemed like people were getting it around 26,500.

i tired like hell to get 6.9 financing... but they didn't want to hear it.. and with a 630 fico.. HMC still was looking the other way. oh well.
what is your sales tax? amazing, your price of 27,800 is $500 less than my price of 28,300, but my out the door was under 30,000.

And just so you know, there are many things you can do to easily boost your credit score so you didn't have to get raped on the interest rate!

i've never heard of anything like this, and how can it be binding? the purchase order is the only binding document.

Well I bought an 06 5AT w/o navigation from Pikes Peak. They did try to put that $300 charge in. I made them remove it. Same thing- I agreed on a price with them and that was not something I asked for. At first I didn't notice it. They also quoted me 4.9% financing and then on the paperwork it said 5.75%. The finance guy acted like he didn't know about the 4.9%. They really try to get every little bit out of you. Around $26,700. I ended up paying approx $29K after fees and 7.4% sales tax. I feel like I got a good enough deal.

Everyday on this message board I learn of another state that is raping their citizens on Sales Taxes. I think it's absolutely absurd that states charge 7 and 8% sales tax. Hopefully, those states have low income tax rates, but I seriously doubt it.

Even the 6% we pay is too high IMO.

Jersey's depends on the city. Jersey City, Elizabeth, and Union City is 3%, which is right near me, so I can do a lot of shopping there. 6% is slightly too high, especially when you consider NJ income tax and property tax. But it's nothing compared to NY state and NY city sales taxes.

Yes, other places are too high, but NJ cost of living is also too high.

Sounds to me like you did pretty good. Less than I paid, and a better interest rate, too. Congratulations.

Unless you live on the street, in the ghetto or find a once in a lifetime deal, you're screwed here. Hey maybe you make a bazillion bucks or live at home though so of course that's going to skew it.

Maybe it's just where I live in Southeastern, MA, but I just picked up an '06 TSX Auto w/o nav for $26,800 out the door. Window sticker was 28,500. Seems like most guys are paying a lot more?

Sarcasm

For what it's worth, I like to think of this forum as a place where guys (gals) who share the same interest in their TSX can share information and help one another out. What I find a lot of - not from everyone mind you - is senseless ridicule and sarcasm. A reply to my first post ever was "AT, first mistake". I don't see what my preference in a transmission has to do with anyone? You dont have to drive it!
I just read another reply to a post in "what price are you paying" where someone replied "nice job wasting money on wheel locks". Is that really necessary? Maybe you could actually try and help someone out and say "FYI, the dealers tend to overcharge for accessories such as wheel locks, your money may be better spent picking them up at an auto parts store. Or even better yet, dont comment! I for one wouldn't mind paying a few extra bucks for my dealer to install something.
I guess my point is this; let's try to keep this a positive environment where we actually help one another out in making better choices and providing worthwhile advice. Let's do away with the negativity and the "I know better than you" attitude. It really sucks

I agree POWENS. This is the web environ and it tends to exaggerate personalities. Note that the Wheel lock thread post responder (GM) does not OWN a TSX (yet) and I'm pretty sure is less than 20 yrs old. If you hang around for a while (while I am truly a newbie and not a TSX owner) I noticed for the most part that we slightly more mature members tend not tolerate the school yard mentality. Probably since it's a "been there done that" and realize it was just stupid. Live and learn. It's my opinion that AZine is a friendly environment with attentive mods.

I actually enjoy a good amount of sarcasm, as it is rare on the LEFT coast (I am from the eastcoast)!

BTW I'm the rocking chair compatible age of 39.

yeah, wasn't really sure how to take that as a reply to my first post.

I guess i just don't know how i "wasted money" since I paid only about $350 over invoice for my 06 Navi. Plus, that included destination, the $300 "handling fee", the wheel locks, the upgraded rims (the 5 spoke star vs. the stock 9 spoke silver), and the trunk tray (which is a godsend with as much crap as i throw back there).

Oh well, guess his pants are just in a twist

just got mine

Just bought my Arctic Blue AT w/Navi and Spoiler....actually as a straight trade for my 2004 Acura MDX w/touring and DVD. KBB said the trade in would be around $28,500 (for good condition and it certainly wasn't much more than that) with 21404 miles on it. I figure it turned out to be a good deal, let the flaming begin.

Thanks

I might be purchasing a 06 tsx non navi. You guys think $28,000 with everything including state tax, tax and title, and dest. charge is to much? How much are PA people paying out the door with all charges?

Kidicarus74,
I'm in St. Louis and may be taking the plunge. If I read your post right, you paid $350 over invoice for the vehicle, plus any extas, plus shipping, plus a $300 handling fee (don't think we have that here) and taxes?

What dealer did you use and what is the sales tax for KC?

Thanks for the info.

Paying $59 for wheel locks from the dealer = wasted $. I didn't realize my post was cryptic.

I'm in the process of getting some quotes for an 06 TSX 5AT w/o Navigation. Have one price from a N Jersey dealer of $26605 (supposedly including any destination fee). Another from outside Philly for $26105, waiting to hear if that's with or w/o the ($615) destination fee.

I'm in the process of putting together basically an RFQ I'll send to several dealers asking for their best price on that, LoJack, remote starter, and a couple extra accessories. I'll see what they come back with.

In general, do dealers have a decent amount of wiggle room for the prices on dealer-installed options? I have the installed prices from estore.honda.com, hopefully they'll come down from that a bit.

Yes, they have plenty of wiggle room & should toss in at least one option for free.

What's the lowest quotes you guys have seen in the last month or so? Some of my quotes seem to be reasonable (compared to the quotes I've seen here), but one quote has me confused...it's a bit more than $1500 below invoice...06 tsx 6mt with navi. Is he just trying to get me into the door?

Quick Reply: What price are you paying for 2006 TSX ???
