Thanks, Justin! That was eye-opening!!! I thought it was just the C class (so I didn't even consider it before I decided on my TSX) but I guess it's all of the MB models now!!! WOW!

If it's prestige vs. reliability, the latter always wins for me. I just can't afford to spend time to keep fixing a car.

I guess the point of it all is that ALL cars have problems rather its your Acura or their CLASSY MB. So for those who are going thru it now with their TSX don't feel so bad...it could have been worse...alot worse.

Perhaps you could report to us how relatively few Acuras you notice in Europe, like when you were in HK and Japan...

that is a given...i mean, with BMW's, MB's similar in price to an Accord..which would you rather drive...its a no brainer (at least to most of the automotive buyers)..but in Asia which would seem to be Honda's home turf, it was more surprising to see them outnumbered by other nameplates.

Is Honda considered a prestigious brand in Europe? I thought Honda was going to introduce the Acura brand worldwide just Lexus and Infiniti? I think this would improve the image of Acura in the states because then an Acura would be an Acura, not just another high priced Honda.

No honda is not a prestigious brand in Europe, if Acura were to be introduced in europe, they better have some cars ready instead of rebadging current Honda's...the europeans are a lot better at being able to look beyond the name and see the car for what it is..hence the TSX is just a Honda accord there that competes with jettas, mondeo's, etc..and not BMW's,MB's, Audi's.

Doesn't Mercedes badge it's super luxury brand as a "Maybach"? So nobody confuses it with the trucks, taxicabs, etc.

It's not just MB cars - again, it's ALL cars. Here's something about 2003/2004 BMW Steptronics slipping gears:

Even top "luxury" car makers have issues....
