warranty question.

How long is the regular Acura warranty? Is it 3 years?

Your see, I recently got a small cut on the rear leather seat and I was wondering, if fixing this would be covered under the warranty. If not, what could I do to fix it, and how much would it cost...?

I think the standard warranty is 3 years / 50K miles. I don't think it covers cuts on the leather seat unless you can convince them that it was some kind of manufacturing defect that caused the leather to split. Not sure how to fix it though. Hope someone else can post that.

I believe the warranty is 4 years but how do you claim warranty repair for a cut seat? You probably have better luck by going to a upholstery shop.

Actually...I have had the same problem. I got a big gash on my rear passenger side panel, where the seat belt rests, and I took it in to see if they were able to repair it under warranty. They checked it out and told me they weren't able to repair it under warranty because it was not caused by a defect in the workmanship of the product but rather it was caused by a rear passenger. So they suggested to me to bring it in to a leather repair shop. I have yet to bring it in for an estimate, but the dealer stated that it would be in the range of a one or two hundred to repair.

come to think of it. I do have some rust developing in the back trunk. Will they fix that for free?

That they should fix for free. There is NO way a 2004 model should be getting rust.
