Warning!! Newbie

Hi everyone, i'm glad to find this forum. I just got my TSX a month ago. It's 06/AT Navi fully loaded. Eventhough i only have this car for about a month but from reading car magazine i saw that people mod this car and it looks so nice. I also want to do some modding to my car too. The problem is that i don't know anything about car . I'm 22 now and I know it's embarrass not to know anything about car at my age. I used to drive a 2003 honda accord LX. I never liked that car cuz it was really sux when it comes to performance and handling. I hate that car. I'm so glad that i got the TSX, cuz i love everything about it.
I hope you guys can teach me and help me out with how to tune up my TSX.
For now, i want to get my interior done first. Any suggestion?

Welcome...there is a wealth of information here. the search function is your best friend. but to chime in on the interior, the all season floor mats, in my opinion, are a simple, worth while investment.

Welcome

Check out our Parts & Performance section as well as our Tires/Suspension/Wheels section for any modifications you'd be doing onto your car. Don't forget to check out Problems and Fixes for any insight at what you might be running into in the future just in case you need some quick answers, or need to post a thread on needing help for a problem.

Interior wise, unless you want to get racing seats in a stock TSX, it wouldn't necessarily look right unless you get the JDM Euro R Recaro Seats (ccc or any other JDM whore chime in please). My suggestion would be to start from the engine (ie bolt ons such as Intake, UR Pulleys, RT High Flow Cat, Headers, or simply a Hondata Reflash). Then, move onto suspension components and lower your vehicle Obviously. Then a nice lip kit either JDM Euro R lip kit or the Mugen 06 Lip Kit.

Just regarding the lip kits, the 2006 TSX requires the same model year lip kits or else it will not fit. For example, the 2004-2005 Mugen/EuroR Lip kit will NOT fit our 2006-2007 corresponding bumpers. However, the Mugen Bumper will fit considering the front bumper will be replaced with the Mugen Bumper. The 06/04 Front bumpers are interchangeable.

As for further insight, if you plan on changing your USDM Light Housings to JDM Headlight Housings, make notice that the 04-05 JDM Headlights will not work with 06-07 Headlights. Honda changed the part numbers for the Ballasts used for the differed years. They fit, but the ballasts are different, so if you plan on getting 2004-2005 JDM Headlight housings, you would need to buy 2004-2005 ballasts along with it.

As for spoilers, there's a number of different options out there, whether you'd like a simplistic m3 lip spoiler, search "xenonspecialist" in our search function or would you rather gauge interest in a "Spoon Spoiler", simply put "Spoon Spoiler" in our search function.

The different sections of this TSX forum contain many answers to your modding frenzy.
Congrats on your purchase, and welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your stay!

There's so much you can do with the TSX, as far as modding. Where to start. You said interior. Here's a few suggestions:

All weather rubber mats (great for keeping the car clean)
LED interior lighting. Just looks so much better.
Do condition he leather and use 303 on the dash, plastic and rubber parts.
Interior under dash lighting
Racing pedals
Custom stick shift knob
Headrest LCD monitors

Those should help you get started. Modding addicting, so have fun and welcome to AZ

Here's the thread for the racing pedals:

https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/acura-racing-pedals-group-buy-342378/

Try Tech_toyz online for LED's and such. There's a couple of other sites as well. Seach is your friend.

I'm a new TSX owner too - I'll search on the LED lighting, but what do you recommend for leather conditioning? What's "303"?

Another great interior mod (?) is the trunk tray. It's saved my trunk many times and it's a snap to clean.

Absolutely! I thought these were a total joke in the catalog until I saw one; they're really high quality rubber and it fits perfectly.

hey EurTSX, i checked out the JDM headlight and i really like it a lot but it's only for 04-05. I like how it has that blue or white turning lights on the side better than the OEM one. but do you know if there's a JDM headlight for 06-07? ok here's another question, what is the angel eyes and halo headlight? is that just the lights inside or is it the whole headlights?
